Let’s talk about accreditation

We all know that our lives and brains are full and that it's hard to really have a full grasp of a complicated issue unless it's in our job description (or an honest passion). But hey, we also know that if we get the basics, that's often enough and we can always add as we go. That's a lot of life, right? Ethical accreditation schemes are complex, multilayered and not without their problems. But grasp the basics and you can...

The fair market

As Chris wrote in the previous post, we now take payments through both zipPay and Afterpay lay-by systems.  We are loving the interest from people who found us through those sites and by searching for zipPay or Afterpay shops.  Welcome! I hope these methods do help make ethical products more accessible.  Sometimes a few payments lessen the impact on the the fortnightly budget, even if they are not for big amounts.  I have been using both methods with my own shopping....

Particularly, it must be said, very...

Ready to roll (one vertebrae at a time, people)

It's been a few months of hints, nudges, thinking, sorting, discussing, planning, writing, scheming, feeling, dreaming, researching and listening... And suddenly we are in motion. Finalizing  a logo. Placing orders. Scheduling markets. Meanwhile, all of those other, ah, less active modes are still in full swing. In less than two weeks, we will open our market canopy (no doors - yet) to a dream that we have heard again and again will work here. We're working hard to make it...
