It’s time to get cozy and settle in for the fall. Some of us need a little creative boost in the house and home department (I know I do), so here are a few delicious and crafty ideas to get you started.
Decorate with Pine Cones
It’s a good excuse to go outside and forage in nature, just like you used to when you were young. Look for a variety of pinecones. Bring the ones that you like inside.
Pour a few drops of each of the essential oils, such as cinnamon, cloves, orange, sweet, or allspice, over the berries. Place the bowl in a place where you can enjoy bringing nature inside.
Boil Apples as Breakfast
This simple Ayurvedic recipe is perfect for adding a holiday scent to your home. You only need an apple and four whole cloves.
Bring water to a boil. While you wait, cut the apple into four pieces and puncture them with a clove. Make sure you remove the seeds. Place the apple quarters with clove-scented scent in the pot and cook for 5 minutes.
After five minutes, remove the cloves from your apples. Enjoy your breakfast with cinnamon powder sprinkled on top!
Curl up with your favorite book and a seasonally-scented bookmark
A cozy reading session is something I look forward to. Why not spice up your reading with a homemade bookmark that is scented with autumn-scented essential oils? Consider essential oils such as cinnamon, cloves, and orange sweet.
You can use a piece that you have lying around the house or from a local craft store. The perfect bookmark shape is a rectangular piece of felt. Drop a few drops of your favorite essential oil inspired by fall onto the felt. Tuck it in with your current reading material and enjoy your new scented bookmark.
